At Mason Clark Associates, we believe in the power of curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking - qualities that lie at the heart of both engineering and science. So we’re proud to sponsor the Hymers College Science Triathlon 2026, a standout event designed to stretch and inspire the region’s brightest young minds.
Now in its third year, the Science Triathlon brings together Year 10 students from schools across Hull, East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire to compete in a series of hands-on challenges in biology, chemistry and physics. It’s a fast-paced, high-energy day that pushes students to think creatively, solve problems under pressure, and work as a team.
This year, a new award is being introduced: The Mason Clark Associates Independent Award for Advanced Scientific Thinking - recognising students who demonstrate exceptional initiative, analytical rigour and originality in their approach to science.
With limited budgets often restricting practical science opportunities, the Triathlon offers something rare: a chance for students to test their skills, broaden their horizons, and explore future possibilities in STEM.
As a Hull-based firm, we’re committed to supporting local talent and creating opportunities that matter. The Science Triathlon aligns perfectly with our values - celebrating achievement, encouraging innovation and investing in the next generation.
We look forward to meeting the winners at the Celebration Ceremony in February, where sponsors present their awards. We’re honoured to be part of it.
