On Tuesday 3rd June, we hosted our quarterly Graduate Training Event at our Leeds office, bringing together our early-career professionals for a productive afternoon of learning, sharing and connecting.
The session opened with a brief introduction and an update from each graduate on their individual training progress. It was a great opportunity to hear about the range of experiences and development journeys across the team.
The technical programme included a focused presentation on disproportionate collapse, followed by an engaging quiz to reinforce the key learning points. After a short break, we resumed with a session on drainage and foundations coordination, before tuning in to the IStructE webinar on the effects of the changing climate on historic structures; a timely topic for our industry.
We wrapped up with a short discussion to summarise the day’s learnings and began planning for the next training session.
To finish the day, the team headed out to Roxy Lanes at The Light in Leeds for some well-earned social time. It was a great way to unwind, catch up with colleagues and continue building those all-important team connections.
Thanks to everyone who took part.
