A Mischief of Rats

Posted on June 16, 2025

We're supporting a 'Mischief of Rats' animal sculpture trail, which features 50 colourful, 6ft tall rat sculptures throughout Hull and East Yorkshire.

Mischief of Rats

A Mischief of Rats is a public art trail coming to Hull and East Yorkshire this Summer! It will celebrate the legacy of Mick Ronson, the guitarist from David Bowie's Spiders from Mars, who began his musical journey with Hull's own band, The Rats.

The rat we are sponsoring is "Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na…Batrat!"

Here is the timeline for the cause:

Mischief of Rats

A Mischief of Rats found their Artist Studio at ResQ Hull. This space provided the necessary room, lorry access and amenities for the artists and their 45 giant rat sculptures.

Together, we're working towards raising £250,000 to support life-changing medical research and pioneering diagnostic care.

The rats were unleashed on Saturday 3rd May and here's ours!

This vibrant public art event brings colour, creativity and a touch of history to Hull and East Yorkshire, all while supporting life-saving research into cancer, heart disease and dementia.
