York City Walls

Mason Clark Associates Heritage Team in York were selected as Conservation and Structural Engineers by City of York Council, on a three-year programme to inspect and monitor the City Walls and Bars. We have provided an engineering assessment of the full 3.5kM of walls together with input into the new Conservation Management Plan for this unique Scheduled Monument. We are currently assisting with specifications for careful repairs and interventions to various key sections, including Tower 2, Micklegate Bar and Bootham Bar.

In addition, MCA are also providing overall Client Project Management for the whole scheme including management of the Architectural Conservation design lead.
