Grant Bellis

Grant graduated in 2016 with a BA & MEng (Hons) Structural & Environmental Engineering degree at University of Cambridge, achieving chartership in 2020, and more recently successfully securing promotion to Associate Bridge Engineer in 2023.

During his time at Mason Clark Associates Grant has gained vast experience in civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on bridges, including working on multi-million pound bridge remediation and strengthening schemes, inspections of bridges and assessment of bridges to determine load carrying capacities.

Grant’s experience includes:

• Bridge analysis and design using MIDAS Civil software
• Arch bridge analysis using ArchieM software
• Bridge assessment in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
• Design of bridge elements in accordance with Eurocodes and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
• Temporary works design
• Sheet piling design and assessment using ReWarD software
• Arranging access for and undertaking principal inspections of bridges
• Production of Approval in Principle (AIP) documents
• Production of specification appendices in accordance with the Specification for Highway Works
• Work involving Network Rail
• Work involving moving bridges
• Environment Agency permit applications
• Mentoring of colleagues for Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Initial Professional Development (IPD)
