Dion Singleton

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

As a Chartered Building Surveyor of over 30 years’ experience, Dion has a very broad knowledge and range of skills covering building defects, building conservation, construction health and safety, expert witness work, project management, contract administration, property law, neighbourly matters (Party Wall etc. Act 1996 and Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992).

Recent experience has increasingly included undertaking the CDM Co-ordinator and now Principal Designer role for a varied range of schemes from domestic housing, school refurbishments to new schools, church restoration, civil engineering and industrial projects. Acting in this dual role as Building Surveyor and Principal Designer means Dion is well placed to fulfil the capability requirements introduced by CDM 2015.

Dion first qualified as a CDM Regulations professional in 1995, when the CDM Regulations 1994 were in force. In 2015 Dion passed the APS examination to progress from the original RMaPS qualification applicable to the CDM Regulations 2007, to the new IMaPs level of membership applicable to the CDM Regulations 2015. In 2016 Dion passed the additional four mandatory exams to progress from IMaPs to CMaPS, which is the higher level qualification for health and safety risk management specialists who are experienced at delivering Principal Designer, Client Adviser or CDM Adviser services in a practical and effective way.
