Venn Building

This impressive Grade II Listed Building now houses the Hull University corporate Headquarters. The refurbishment scheme centered on DDA improvements and of the main reception, kitchen and office areas and installation of a new lift.

The set up of the site and material delivery logistics presented a challenge, given the restricted site access roads, site area and access routes to the work areas. These matters were however, overcome with appropriate, Pre-planning, Co-ordination and Risk Management.

The works took place in an occupied building within a 16 week programme and, this required substantial co-ordination and planning which Mason Clark Associates providing CDM Advisory services, the Architect Westray Keith Phelps and University stakeholders contributed too, difficulties that had been foreseen were identified and overcome with, segregation and coordinated phased construction.
