York City Walls Conservation Engineering

Mason Clark Associates are carrying out structural inspections to the full 3.5km circuit of York City Walls and Bars on behalf of City of York Council. This forms part of a three year framework to prioritise interventions and maintain this unique monument for future generations. We are working closely with the City Walls team, the City Archaeologist and national Conservation Architect Donald Insall Associates to contribute to a renewed Conservation Management Plan, together with an on-going monitoring and repair strategy for the Walls.
